Mongolian delegation visits GERD

Addis Ababa, October 25, 2024 (FBC) – Mongolian delegation, led by the country’s parliament member and former Minister of Environment and Tourism Badmaanyambuugiin Bat-Erdene, has visited the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) project site.

It was pointed out that the visit is intended to enhance bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Mongolia and exchange good experiences in sustainable development, including water management and climate change adaptation.

The Mongolian delegation also met and conferred with the Minister of Water and Energy Habtamu Itefa, the Minister of State for Planning and Development Mr. Seyoum Mekonnen, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations and Peace Affairs of the House of People’s Representatives of Ethiopia Mr. Dima Negewo.
