PM Abiy encourages the new generation to strengthen their skills in AI, coding, and cybersecurity
Addis Ababa, October 17, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) praised the Abrehot Library for its commitment to developing wisely skilled youth.
He said the library’s facade, inscribed with the word “wisdom” in 18 languages, symbolizes its dedication to this mission. “Abrehot, meaning “enlightenment”, was established to enlighten generations. The Prime Minister made the remarks while inaugurating robotic teaching kits produced by the library and the Abogida Robotics & Technology Center this afternoon.
PM Abiy stated that the Abrehot Library is actively working to fulfill its objective of developing wisely skilled youth.
The kits are designed to enhance the learning experience for students in Ethiopia.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of technology in education and how it can be used to improve the quality of education in the country.
He also highlighted the role of the young people at the Abrehot Library who are engaged in promising endeavors such as robotics and application innovation. “The young people I met today at Abrehot are engaged in promising endeavors such as robotics and application innovation, and they deserve our encouragement.”
The premier encouraged the next generation to continue to strengthen their skills in areas like AI, coding, and cybersecurity, aligning with Ethiopia’s development goals.
