Ethio Green Mobility 2024 will attract over 80 companies from China, several countries
Addis Ababa, October 14, 2024 (FBC) – The Ethio Green Mobility Expo 2024 is scheduled to take place in Addis Ababa from November 22-30.
This expo will showcase the latest innovations in sustainable mobility, including cutting-edge electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies, according to the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
The event also provides a platform for networking and collaboration among stakeholders from various sectors, create market link between local and foreign companies and facilitate experience sharing between firms engaged in green transition thereby driving Ethiopia’s vision for a greener future, said Kedilmagest Ibrahim, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Transport and Logistics.
The statement by the advisor was made during the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Guangdong Guangwu Holding Group Co.,Ltd, Chinese State owned company, and O’clock Motors with a view to increase supply of environmental friendly vehicles to the Ethiopian market.
During the signing ceremony, Kedilmagest noted that the Ethio Green Mobility will attract more than 80 companies from China and other European and Asian countries engaged in production and assembly of eco-friendly vehicles and renewable energy solutions.
Zhong Huiling, a representative of GuangWu Holdings Group, on the occasion, stated that China and Ethiopia have been enjoying close partnership in multifaceted sectors, calling the agreement signed between the two companies can be regarded as part of the efforts to materialize of the aspiration of the nations to advance modernization and build a community with a shared future.
Ahmedin Mohammed Abdella, Founder and General Manager of O’clock Motors, announced a plan put in place by his company to assemble and distribute 20,000 ecofriendly vehicles to the Ethiopian market.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has so far stated that the Expo will provide Ethiopia with an opportunity to showcase its commitment to sustainable transportation and its efforts to build a climate-resilient green economy.
