Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulates President Taye Atske-Selassie

Ababa, October 11, 2024 (FBC) – Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie on the occasion of his appointment as the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

“Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your election as the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,” President Putin noted.

“Russian-Ethiopian relations are based on good traditions of friendship and mutual respect. I hope that your activities as the President will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation in all areas for the benefit of the peoples of our countries, in the interests of strengthening regional stability and security,” said Putin as quoted by the Russian Embassy in Addis Ababa.

Similarly, Foreign Affairs Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, has congratulated Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie on his appointment as the President of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
