Italy seeks to strengthen ties with Ethiopia: Ambassador

Addis Ababa, October 1, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador to Ethiopia, Agostino Palese, has announced Italy’s intention to further elevate its diplomatic relations with Ethiopia.

He emphasized the goal of enhancing cooperation not only in economic areas but also through fostering people-to-people connections.

In the past year, Italy has invested over 300 million euros into various development projects across Ethiopia, according to the Ambassador.

The ambassador highlighted Ethiopia as a key strategic partner for Italy and expressed a commitment to expanding cooperation in multiple areas, as well as reinforcing multilateral collaboration on international issues.
