Republic of Korea announces 7M USD assistance to Ethiopia 

Addis Ababa, August 6, 2024 (FBC) – The government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide a total of 7 million USD assistance to conflict-affected and vulnerable regions in Ethiopia through international aid agencies.

The assistance aims to support the Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) program, provision of food and nutrition, deliver of emergency medical relief, and offer aid to women and children.

This support will be channeled through international organizations such as UNDP, WFP, ICRC, and UNICEF.

The Republic of Korea acknowledges the urgent humanitarian needs in Ethiopia and will collaborate closely with the Ethiopian government and relevant international agencies to ensure that the aid effectively reaches those in need.

This effort will contribute to restoring peace and stability in Ethiopia, according to the Republic of Korea Embassy in Ethiopia.
