Ethiopian delegation participating in the 14th BRICS Trade Ministers Meeting

Addis Ababa, July 26, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopian delegation led by Kassahun Gofe, the Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, took part on the 14th BRICS Trade Ministers Meeting on 26th July 2024, in Moscow, the Russian Federation.

Among others, the meeting discussed ways to strengthen the multilateral trading system and providing favorable business climate. The ministerial meeting further explored ways to advance innovative and digital solutions for resilient economic growth, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Moscow.

Minister Kassahun and his delegation also had bilateral meetings with Russia’s Minister of Economy, Mr Maxim Reshetnikov and Minister of State for Foreign Trade of United Arab Emirates, Mr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. The countries agreed to develop joint plan to enhance trade exchange, and collaborate on multilateral issues.
