Ethiopia, Myanmar discuss prospect of cooperation in media, agriculture sectors

Addis Ababa, July 22, 2024 (FBC) – The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the Union of Myanmar have discussed the possibilities of forging cooperation in the agricultural industry and media domains by signing a memorandum of understanding.

This story was learned after a courtesy call by Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Myanmar, with permanent residence in Tokyo, on U Maung Maung Ohn, Myanmar’s Minister for Information, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.

During the discussion, the two dignitaries discussed the signing of an MoU for cooperation in the media sector, broadcasting trustworthy news about the two countries, mutual cooperation in the agricultural industry, and the possibility of improving the relationship between the two countries.

Recall that Ambassador Daba presented a copy of his letter of credence to the Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, U Than Swe, earlier this month.
