PM Abiy congratulates new UK PM Keir Starmer on his election win

Addis Ababa, July 6, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has sent his congratulatory message to the newly elected Prime Minister of the UK Keir Starmer on his election victory.

It is known that the UK general election was held this week and Keir Starmer’s Labour Party has been announced as winner over the Conservative and other political parties.

Following this event, PM Abiy Ahmed sent his best wishes to his new UK counterpart. “Congratulations Keir Starmer on your election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Wishing you a successful term.”

Prime Minister Abiy also emphasized that he is looking forward to further enhancing relations between Ethiopia and the United Kingdom.
