Government ready to award best innovative solutions: PM

Addis Ababa, May 19, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed has encouraged the public to engage with innovative solutions pledging that the government is set to award best contributions on coming September, 2020.

The premier urged the public to look forward integrating bounty of the nation with knowledge and innovation so as to successfully combat COVID 19 pandemic and speed up nation building strides.

Innovations should be intertwined with efforts underway to successfully utilize country’s land resources for better agricultural in puts both rural and urban dwellings.

Dr. Abiy further urged the public to consolidate collective efforts for forcefulness of the upcoming reforestation campaign which eyes planting of more than five billion trees nationwide.

The premier recommended that innovations and works of arts compete to the award should focus on enhancing productivity in agriculture and manufacturing sector, motivating urban farming, nurturing work and reading habit, and inspiriting national unity for better nation.

He called to innovators to continually show up their works through accessible social media outlets to accelerate the completion.

The government sets up a specific body that would follow up, register, and nominate competitive candidates for the national award that would to be conferred on upcoming September, 2020.
