China’s NTAC interested in investing in Ethiopia’s textile, apparel sectors
Addis Ababa, May 14, 2024 (FBC) – The China National Textile & Apparel Council (CNTAC), a prominent organization in the textile and apparel industry, has expressed keen interest in exploring investment opportunities within Ethiopia’s textile and apparel sectors.
With its extensive experience and expertise, CNTAC aims to leverage potential collaborations to tap into the growing market of Ethiopia’s textile and apparel industry.
CNTAC’s desire was disclosed during its delegation’s meeting with Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) senior management. The Chinese delegation led by CNTAC’s Secretary General Xia Lingmin is paying a working visit in Ethiopia.
CNTAC, the national federation representing all textile-related industries in China, provides services such as studying and researching the current status and development trends of both domestic and international textile industries.
During the meeting, EIC and IPDC management provided a comprehensive overview of the available opportunities, incentives, and policies related to the textile and apparel investment sectors. A business-to-government (B2G) discussion was held, during which the delegation’s questions were thoroughly addressed.
Subsequently, the delegation expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Ethiopia’s textile and apparel sectors.
