President demands that women’s agenda be included in National Dialouge
Addis Ababa, April 27, 2024 (FBC) – President Sahle-Work Zewde calls for the need to encourage women to get their agenda included in the forthcoming National Dialogue.
A national consultative forum aims at strengthening women’s participation in forthcoming national dialogue.
Addressing the forum, President Sahle-Work Zewde pointed out that national dialogue is inclusive and has proved to be fruitful in many countries.
Saying the country has experienced disputes that led to conflicts, the President stressed the role of the national dialogue in addressing these differences and putting Ethiopia in a solid foundation.
“Women are victims of conflicts; therefore, they have to be active participant in the national dialogue which is believed to accommodate ideas crucial to address these challenges.”
“Women have to contribute their ideas and place their agenda at the national dialogue process,” the President added.
