Ethiopia, South Sudan discuss ways to cement ties
Addis Ababa, May 10, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gedu Andargachew, held talks with South Sudan President Salva Kiir in Juba yesterday.
They discussed ways to further strengthen relations between the two countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Gedu also delivered a message from Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed to President Kiir.
From the Ethiopian side, the discussion was attended by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Redwan Hussien and Teferi Tadesse, Ambassador of Ethiopia to South Sudan.
Senior officials of Juba, including Mayiik Ayii Deng, Minister of Presidential affairs, were also present at the talks.
