IGAD Executive Secretary meets with AU high-level delegation on Sudan

Addis Ababa, March 9, 2024 (FBC) – Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD) met with the AU high-level delegation on Sudan, led by Mohammed Ibn Chambas (PhD), in his office today.

Workneh and the AU high-level delegation discussed ways of advancing the Sudan peace process and enhancing the collaboration between IGAD and the AU.

“The people of Sudan rightly deserve peace, and we are steadfast in our commitment to tirelessly work towards a lasting peaceful resolution,” Workneh said in a social media.
