Ministry offers life insurance to Health Workers

Addis Ababa, May 9, 2020 (FBC) – Ministry of Health has signed MoU with Ethiopian Insurance Corporation to offer life insurance converge to health care professionals and others who are battling with COVID 19 pandemic in the country.

Health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse and CEO of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation Netsanet Lemessa signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the respective organizations.

Health professionals working in quarantine facilities, laboratories, emergency response team and related divisions are privileged from the life insurance, the Ministry of Health stated.

Besides, sanitary workers, ambulance drives and others who are in the frontline of the fight against the pandemic will benefit from the life insurance, according to the MOU.
