PM appreciates UN chief’s initiative to address COVID-19 challenges

Addis Ababa, May 8, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed held toady phone talks with Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister appreciated the initiative by the Secretary-General to address challenges posed by the coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic.

“The five pillars of the socio-economic response plan crafted reflect Ethiopia’s priorities,” he said.

The Prime Minister finally thanked the Secretary General for “a good phone call.”
