Ethiopia, OSC ink cooperation agreement
Addis Ababa, February 20, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia and Organization of Southern Cooperation (OSC) have signed a cooperation agreement to work together in areas capacity building, facilitation of scholarships for Ethiopian students and experience sharing.
Minister of Innovation and Technology, Belete Molla (PhD) and Secretary General of OSC, Manssour Bin Mussallam have signed the agreement.
Apart from the signing of the cooperation agreement, the minister togheter with the secretary general has attended the official launch of the Greater South Learning Enrichment Resources Nexus (GreSLERN) digital platform at the Headquarters of the Organization in Addis Ababa.
Ambassadors of OSC member states and others, representatives of OSC associate members, educational institutions, CSOs, development agencies, researchers, instructors, and students have also attended the launching ceremony.
It was stated on the occasion that the launch of GreSLERN is a cornerstone event that marks a critical milestone towards the achievement of the OSC’s vision of fostering the collective exchange of ideas, research, and knowledge from academic and non-academic domains among Member States and Associate Members, and across the Global South.
