Ethiopia, Denmark agree to bolster inter-parliamentary cooperation

Addis Ababa, February 15, 2024 (FBC) – Ambassador of Denmark to Ethiopia, Kira Smith Sindbjerg held discussion with Foreign Relations and Peace Affaris Standing Committee of the House of Peoples Representatives.

The Ambassador and the Standing Committee headed by Dima Nego (PdD) discussed national and regional issues of mutual concern and forthcoming visit of the Danish parliamentary delegation to Ethiopia.

Dima Nego briefed the Danish Ambassador on the measures Ethiopia has been taking to maintain the Pretoria Peace Agreement and mutual siginifance of the port deal signed between Ethiopia and Somaliland.

He also told the Ambassador that the federal government has recently reviewed reconstruction and restoration activities in Tigray region.

The two sides have agreed to bolster the inter-parliamentary cooperation between Ethiopia and Denmark, pledging with a view to boost bilateral ties between the two countries.
