Premier visits dev’t undertakings in Jigjiga city

Addis Ababa, February 12, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew conducted an official visit to Jigjiga city, underscoring the government’s commitment to regional development and infrastructure enhancement, the Office of the Prime Minister stated.

Their tour included an inspection of the Jigjiga Sheik Hassen Yabare Referral Hospital, which has undergone significant renovations to better serve the community.

Additionally, they evaluated the completion of 16 kilometers of newly constructed asphalt roads, aimed at improving urban mobility and connectivity. The visit also encompassed the new regional parliament building, a symbol of the democratic and legislative strides being made in the region.

This visit highlights the ongoing efforts to foster sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Jigjiga.
