PM Abiy offers condolences to Namibia on the passing of President Hage Geingob
Addis Ababa, February 4, 2024 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) expressed his condolences to the people and government of Namibia on the loss of President Hage Geingob.
In a message published on his social media page, PM Abiy Ahmed noted, “In this somber moment, our nation extends its sincere condolences to the people and government of Namibia on the loss of President Hage Geingob. May his legacy of leadership endure in the collective memory.”
President Hage Geingob reportedly passed away after receiving treatment in his country’s capital, Windhoek.
The 82-year-old president was hospitalized for cancer treatment a few days ago, according to reports.
President Geingob served as the Prime Minister of Namibia for a long time and was elected for a second term as President.
