Ethiopian diplomacy to engage in wider scope, context – DPM & FM Demeke
Addis Ababa, January 27, 2024 (FBC) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mr. Demeke Mekonnen presided over the closing program of Ethiopia’s ambassadors’ annual meeting and provided additional instructions on forthcoming diplomatic actions.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Meles Alem addressed the media about this in a briefing.
According to Ambassador Meles, Ethiopia should become more approachable, influential, and desirable as a result of its diplomatic efforts.
He went on to say that Ethiopia is ready to increase and deepen its involvement in both bilateral and multilateral relationships.
He continued, saying that we will endeavor to deepen our friendships and make more new ones while keeping an eye on the parts of the globe that we have not yet reached.
Ambassador Meles Alem mentioned a number of organizations in relation to that where Ethiopia has to strengthen its ties, including the United Nations, IGAD, BRICS, and the African Union.
When it came to matters of economic diplomacy and diplomacy in the Horn of Africa, the ambassador emphasized the importance of being better prepared to work together with partners.
