ENDF keen to work in cooperation with France: Minister
Addis Ababa, January 18, 2024 (FBC) – Ethiopia and France discussed to explore ways of cooperation on various fields, the FDRE Ministry of Defense disclosed today.
Brigadier General Worku Kebede, the head of the Ministry of Defense Office, who participated in the discussion, said that the Ministry convened a discussion with members of the French Parliament’s Defense Affairs Committee to work together.
After welcoming the French delegation, Defense Minister Abraham Belay recalled that the relation between Ethiopia and France is a long-standing historical relationship, Brigadier General Worku disclosed.
Abraham stated that Ethiopia is interested in continuing to strengthen its bilateral relationship with France.
Expressing his happiness with the visit of the French delegation to Ethiopia, the Defense Minister revealed that Ethiopia’s defense is ready to work in cooperation with the French government.
The discussion between the Minister and the French delegation, led by Thomas Gasiloid, focused on continental and international cooperation, it is indicated.
It was also mentioned that they also discussed conditions to work together in science and technology, human resource development and support.
