Free school meals program being implemented in 293 schools in Sheger city

Addis Ababa, December 25, 2023 (FBC) – The Education Office of the Sheger City Administration has confirmed that the school feeding program is being implemented in 293 public schools.

A staggering number of 140,531 students are currently availing themselves of the free school meals program, which has been in effect since the commencement of the current academic year, the office’s head, Mr. Firakia Kasahun told FBC.

Mr. Kasahun further disclosed that the implementation of the program has resulted in the creation of job opportunities for over 2,800 individuals.
