Celebration of 18th nationalities, peoples day underway in Jigjiga city

Addis Ababa, December 9, 2023 (FBC) – The 18th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day (Ethiopianness Day) is being celebrated colorfully today in Jigjiga city of the Somali region with various events.

Present at the celebrations among others are the Speaker of the FDRE House of Federation Mr. Agegnehu Teshager, Vice President of the Prosperity Party, Mr. Adem Farah, regional states’ chief administrators, mayors of city administrations, representatives of ethnic groups and invited guests.

Celebrated under the theme ​​’diversity and equality for national unity’, the Day is being observed to further strengthen national unity and solidarity.
