IGAD Gender Ministerial Meeting kicks off

Addis Ababa, November 27, 2023 (FBC) – IGAD Gender Unit has officially started the IGAD Gender Ministerial Meeting to Adopt Regional GENDER Strategy and Regional Action Plan on Women Peace and Security (WPS) 2023-2030 Technical Experts Segment.

On behalf of the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD), Director of Administration and Finance Josephat Onyari stated: “I welcome all participants and Invitees to the expert meeting to validate IGAD regional gender strategy and IGAD regional action plan on women peace and security. The two strategic documents targets improving the social, political and economic status of women in the IGAD region”.
