Beijing Foreign Studies University vows to contribute in cementing Ethiopia-China ties

Addis Ababa, November 22, 2023 (FBC) – The vice president of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), Sun Yunzhong, stated that the university is working to strengthen people-to-people relations by opening Ethiopian language study departments.

The first batch of Amharic language students will graduate from the university soon, he added.

The vice president received the delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Spokesperson Director General, in his office.

MFA Ethiopia Spokesperson, Ambassador Meles Alem, also appreciated the work of the university and requested to add other Ethiopian languages to its programs.

The students that will complete their studies this year will tighten up relations by being the ambassadors of both countries, said Ambassador Meles.

Ambassador Meles Alem held a presentation on Ethiopia-China relations in the African and Asia Studies College.
