Chinese companies share experiences with regional presidents of Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 17, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopia high-level delegation of regional presidents led by Vice President of the ruling Prosperity Party (PP) has toured various companies in Shanghai, China.

Among others, the Ethiopian high-level delegation visited a solid waste treatment recycling plant and urban planning and designing center of shanghai city.

In addition, the delegation paid a visit to Chinese Artificial Intelligence Institute and Huawei Technologies Solution Center in Shanghai.

The visit aimed at sharing experiences in planning and implementation of urban development strategies in Chinese cities.

Regional leaders exchanged views with company representatives on how clear urban strategies are crucial to realize model cities convenient for their residents if planned, implemented and evaluated in a more established manner.

Furthermore, the delegation discussed with representatives of the respective Chinese companies on how to customize the lessons attained to the Ethiopian urban development climate thereby fostering cooperation among the two countries in this sector.

Shimelis Abdisa, Arega Kebede, Mustafa Mohammed, Hajo Awol Arba and Desta Ledamo, who are Presidents of Oromia, Amhara, Somalia, Afar and Sidama regional states respectively are among the members of the Ethiopian delegation to China led by Vice President of the Prosperity Party, Adem Farah.
