Addis Ababa, Leipzig to heighten their sister city relationship

Addis Ababa, October 27, 2023 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to Germany, Fekadu Beyene held discussions with Head of International Affairs Office of Leipzig City, Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß and City’s Project Manager, Ms. Katja Roloff on bilateral issues of mutual concern.

The discussion between the Ambassador and the two high officials was mainly focused on how to heighten the sister city relationship between Addis Ababa and Leipzig, an important economic hub of Germany.

The Ambassador also briefed the two German city’s officials on current affairs in Ethiopia, while Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß presented an assessment of the projects being carried out in Addis Ababa under the framework of the twinning partnership.

Dr. Gabriele Goldfuß further gave explanations about future activities to be carried out under the framework of the Addis Ababa – Leipzig sister city partnership agreement.

Appreciating the achievements registered in the activities of the partnership, the Ambassador stressed the need to bolster the cooperation between the two cities in the areas of trade and tourism, among others.

The Addis Ababa – Leipzig Sister City Relationship was established in 2004.
