Sweden commits $4mln fund in support of peace building efforts in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, October 19, 2023 (FBC) – The government of Sweden has committed a new financial aid in the region of 4 million USD (44 million SK) in support of durable peace building efforts in Ethiopia.

The Swedish Embassy in Addis Ababa signed the new agreement with Life & Peace Institute to fund its multi-year program to promote peace and social cohesion, while strengthening Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and engaging with youth and women.

Following the signing of the agreement, the Embassy said via a social media post, “Sweden is committed to support various peace building activities in Ethiopia.”
