FM Gedu holds virtual discusses with Ethiopian ambassadors in Asian-Pacific countries
Addis Ababa, April 22, 2020 (FBC) –Foreign Affairs Minister Gedu Andargachew held virtual meeting with Ethiopian ambassadors and Consulate Generals in Asian-Pacific countries on a range of issues.
During the virtual discussion, Gedu briefed them on measures being undertaken by the government to contain the spread of COVID 19 pandemic.
He urged the ambassadors to continue efforts to keep Ethiopians living in the courtiers they are represented well informed on COVID current situations.
He also extended gratitude to ambassadors, diplomats and Ethiopian nationals living abroad for their unreserved assistance to Ethiopia in battling the pandemic, further calling for continued support.
Gedu further called up on the ambassadors to identify and formulate covid 19 containment best practices in countries they are represented and send findings back to Ethiopia.
Based on the discussion and the questions raised, he gave explanations and instructions on the way forward.
