Addis Ababa to host Enkopa Summit next week
Addis Ababa, October 5, 2023 (FBC) – The Ministry of Labor and Skills (MoLS) today disclosed that the Enkopa Summit, which will be attended by representatives of 26 countries, will be held in Addis Ababa on October 12 and 13, 2023.
It is said that the summit aims to utilize the potential of Ethiopia’s digital economy and expand the entrepreneurship environment by connecting the public-private sectors.
The Minister of State for Labor and Skills, Mr. Nigusu Tlahun, said that the event aims to expand the entrepreneurship space in Ethiopia by bringing together the actors of the sector.
According to him, Enkopa Summit will enable Ethiopia to promote its potential in the digital economy to the rest of the world.
The event will bring together, among others, the sector’s intelligentials, policy makers, continental institutions, international corporations, development partners, representatives of the private sector, entrepreneurs and technology experts.
Furthermore the summit will be attended by representatives of financial institutions, educational institutions, investors, private organizations and startups actively participating in the freelance and gig economy from 26 countries.
The Ministry of Labor and Skills of Ethiopia revealed that Enkopa Summit will be held in Addis Ababa Millennium Hall on October 12 and 13, 2023.
