Ministry calls for synergy among condiment, coffee exporters

Addis Ababa, August 14, 2023 (FBC) – The Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia of (MoA) has called for synergy among coffee, tea, and condiment exporters.

The call was made during the 2015 E.C. annual performance review and the 2016 E.C. annual plan of Ethiopian Tea & Coffee Authority in the presence of Girma Amente, the Minister of Agriculture, Ambassador Girma Biru, Economic Adviser at the Office of the Prime Minister, and stakeholders of the sector.

In conformance to its mission, the Authority is working to enhance production and productivity as well as to advance fair marketing system, it is stated.

Addressing the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture, Girma Amente, called on all stakeholders involved in the sector to work in a coordinated and balanced manner to ensure the quality of export agricultural products.

For his part, Ambassador Girma Biru said that the government will focus on identifying the kinds of challenges in the sector in order to tackle them accordingly.
