PM Abiy Ahmed stresses need to new, robust agricultural global financing model for food security

Addis Ababa, July 24, 2023 (FBC) – During the UN Food Systems Summit +2, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has stressed the need to a new and robust agricultural global financing model for food security.

“A new and robust agricultural global financing model is essential for food security, job creation and economic growth, this is a key point I emphasized during the UN Food Systems Summit +2” the primer stated in his social media post.

He said in Ethiopia, beyond policies and strategies the country has been actively implementing numerous initiatives with the overarching goals of enhancing agricultural resilience, ensuring food self-sufficiency, and combating climate change.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is currently attending the UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment in Rome, Italy.
