Ethiopia, Portugal discuss ways of enhancing trade, investment ties

Addis Ababa, July 11, 2023 (FBC) – A high-level Ethiopian delegation led by Commissioner Lelise Neme is visiting Portugal to recommence stronger bilateral ties and increase trade and investment relations between the two countries.

The delegation is conferring with key entities in Portugal tasked for investment and trade promotion and free trade zone Management.

On the first day, the delegation  discussed with Doutor Bernardo Ivo Cruz, Secretary of State for International Trade and Foreign Investment in Portugal’s Trade and Investment Agency.

Both sides discussed on strategies to improve trade and investment relations in a range of sectors.

Lelise Neme and members of the delegate briefed the Portugese side on the investment potentials and regulatory reforms pursued by the government of Ethiopia to improve the business climate and increase FDI inflow in strategic sectors.
