Gov’t kicks off consultations on 2nd Homegrown Economic Reforms Agenda
Addis Ababa, June 19, 2023 (FBC) – State Minister of Finance Eyob Tekalign conducted a technical consultation on the draft of the second Home Grown Economic Reforms Agenda with representatives of the Executive Committee of the Development Assistance group, representing key donors.
Following a presentation on the new phase of the reforms, an active discussion was held on the key pillars and intervention areas of the reforms and the required capabilities and resources for implementation of the reforms in the next three years.
Members of the donor group have appreciated the comprehensiveness and robustness of the reforms and the focus on stability, recovery, and growth.
During the discussion with the Executive Committee of the Development Assistance group, the Ministry of Finance has presented its plan for consultations with members of the private sector, academia, and heads of agencies and ambassadors of international partners in the next weeks to augment the draft reform interventions, it is noted.
