Ethiopia reports two deaths from COVID 19

Addis Ababa, April 6, 2020 (FBC) –The Minister of Health has registered two deaths from coronavirus (COVID19).

A 60-year-old- woman and a 56-year-old man have died from the virus, said the Ministry in a statement yesterday.

Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed expressed his sorrow upon learning the two deaths from the virus yesterday.

President Sahlework Zewdie also expressed her condolences.

The country has so far reported 43 confirmed cases of coronavirus.

According to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University, more than 1.2 million cases of coronavirus have been registered globally.

More than 69,000 people have died and nearly 263,000 have recovered, according to the university’s figures.
