CBE, Safaricom Ethiopia aim to build transformative digital financial service in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, June 6, 2023 (FBC) – The delegation of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) led by its president, Abie Sano and the senior management of Safaricom Ethiopia are in Kenya on an experience-sharing visit.
It is stated that the visit aims to build a transformative digital financial service in Ethiopia.
It is to be recall in March 2023 CBE and Safaricom Ethiopia signed a strategic partnership agreement to utilize the potential of the institutions’ capacities and enhance the financial service delivery and jointly contribute to Ethiopia’s digital and financial inclusion agenda.
During the first day of the visit, the delegation met with KCB’s Group CEO, Paul Russo who shared KCB’s experience on the nature of the partnership with M-PESA in Kenya that has resulted in a diverse array of products and services designed to provide maximum value to their esteemed customers.
