UN agencies agree to accelerate women’s role in agriculture in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, June 1, 2023 (FBC) – FAO and UN Women Ethiopia have agreed to revitalize the partnership towards accelerating women’s role in the agriculture in the country.

Representatives of FAO and UN Women Ethiopia, Farayi Zimudzi and Cecile Mukarubaga discussed mutual collaboration to improve the livelihoods of rural women and enhance their empowerment and participation in the agri-food system.

The two sides reached an agreement to enhance collaboration to elevate women’s participation in the agriculture sector.
