Ethiopian Airlines launches inaugural flight to Atlanta
Addis Ababa, May 16, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated its four-times-a-week flights to the city of Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.
The inaugural flight launch was held on May 16 at Skylight Hotel, FBC can confirm.
Among others, Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie, Chargé d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, Atlanta Mayor Andrew Dickens, Ethiopian Airlines Board Chairman Girma Wake, Ethiopian Airlines Group Chief Executive Officer Mesfin Tasew, Air Force Chief, Major General Yilma Merdasa and other guests were present.
It is mentioned that Atlanta will be Ethiopian Airlines’ the sixth destination in the USA.
Ethiopian Airlines currently operates to more than 130 international passenger and cargo destinations from its main hub Addis Ababa.
Alongside his delegation, Mayor of Atlanta Andrew Dickens has arrived last week in Addis Ababa for official working visit. He met and discussed with the Mayor of Addis Ababa and other senior government officials. The delegates also visited the Ethiopian Airlines on Monday.
