Switzerland to provide over US$ 3.3ml to support humanitarian response in Ethiopia 

Addis Ababa, April 19, 2023 (FBC) – The United Nation Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA Ethiopia) has disclosed that a total of US$ 3.3 million plus funding to be provided by Switzerland.

According to UN OCHA Ethiopia, the donation is a multi-year contribution to the Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund From 2023-2026 that will provide US$ 3.3 million plus in funding to support vital humanitarian response throughout Ethiopia.

It is to be recall that Swedish and Swiss governments funded 18.8 million USD project that aims at strengthening the resilience of disaster affected communities through durable solutions in Oromia and Somali Regions was launched on December 2022.

The project sets to benefit 54,000 persons in disaster affected communities in the regions.
