Prosperity Party’s top leadership meeting underway in several regions

Addis Ababa, March 21, 2023 (FBC) – The ruling Prosperity Party is undertaking its top leadership consultative meeting at regional level under the theme of “Top leaders’ mission on Maintaining Successes and Overcoming Challenges,”

The ruling party’s regional level consultative meeting has come right after the conclusion its Executive Committee regular session on Sunday.

The senior leaders are deliberating on major achievements and future directives of the party in Gambella, Harari, Addis Ababa, Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples, Benshangul Gumuz, Somali Regions.

In his remarks at the meeting underway in Addis Ababa, Party’s Vice President, Adem Farah, stated that the meeting is aimed at assessing the success stories of the party, the challenges it faces and future directives to build on its achievements in several sectors.

Party’s political leaders have a leading role in addressing the major challenge related to the disparity between addressing disparities between political actors in terms of exercise and management of freedom.

He also stated that although individual and group rights are enshrined protected in the Ethiopian constitution, there are problems in their implementation.

He stressed that it is the responsibility of the leadership to prevent activities that undermine the rule of law and endanger the security of citizens in the name of freedom.
