Referendum underway in several 6 zones, 5 special districts in SNNP Region

Addis Ababa, February 6, 2023 (FBC) – Referendum is underway in several zones and special districts found in Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples (SNNP) Region.

The referendum is taking place in six zones and five special districts; Konso, South Omo, Wolaita, Gamo, Gedeo and Gofa zones as well as Burji, Basketo, Ale, Amaro and Derashe special districts of the SNNP region.

Debub Omo Zone is holding the referendum in 428 polling stations while Jinka Constituency has 24 polling stations where turnouts are directly participating in a democratic process of the reconstruction of a new regional state out of SNNP region.
