FH Ethiopia says ready to deliver humanitarian aid to IDPs in Wag Hemra Zone

Addis Ababa, January 5, 2022 (FBC) – FH Ethiopia announced that it has finalized preparations to dispatch humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people (IDPs) in Wag Hemra Zone, Amhara region ahead of the Ethiopian Christmas Holiday.

Emergency Humanitarian Response Program Senior Officer at FH Ethiopia, Daniel Tilahun exclusively told Fana Broadcasting Corporate that food and non-food items will be distributed to 31, 839 IDPs who fled their homes in Abergele district.

Daniel said 45pct of the aid has already arrived in Sekota town for distribution to be started soon while the remaining is being transported to the area.

Currently, FH Ethiopia has been assisting 37,960 IDPs from Abergele district in northern Ethiopia, Daniel Tilahun added.
