Ethiopia says Nile should be a major source of cooperation than conflict
Addis Ababa, March 10, 2020 (FBC) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Gedu Andargachew said Nile should be a major source of cooperation than conflict.
The Minister made the remark during an interview he had with Al Jazeera covering a range of issues, including on the ongoing talks on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
He thoroughly explained Ethiopia’s stance and admired the ‘principle-based’ stance of Sudan on the dam talks.
The Foreign Minister called on all stakeholders to use the river Nile as a source of cooperation than conflict.
