Ethio telecom restores telecom service in Mekele city

Addis Ababa, December 28, 2022 (FBC) – 27 cities in Tigray region, including Mekele, have regained telecom services, Ethio Telecom CEO, Frehiwot Tamru confirmed.

The CEO also explained that Ethio Telecom North Region’s 981 kilometers of fiber damaged during the conflict was repaired by the company.

Following the completion of maintenances in the area, she mentioned that the telephone service was successfully restored in Mekele city today.

The CEO further confirmed that 61 bank branches have been put into operation following the restoration of telecom service.
