Addis Ababa, December 27, 2022 (FBC) – After presenting her letters of credentials to the Ivorian President last week, Shitaye Minale, Ethiopian Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire, met with Mrs. Kandia Camara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora, to exchange views of bilateral relations.
The two sides have reportedly reviewed the existing bilateral relations and exchanges; and put directions to step up these relations through the exploration of several new domains of activities.
They have particularly deliberated on issues including the restoration of the Ethiopian Airlines flights from Abidjan to the US and vice versa.
They have also advised on undertaking the 2nd Edition of the Ethio-Ivorian Business and Investment Forum, scaling up trade and tourism exchanges, people to people ties, and establishing a twinning between the two countries’ institutions such as universities and agricultural research centres.
Moreover, Mrs. Kandia reassured the Ambassador of the availability of herself and the Ivorian Government to extend all the necessary support.
According to the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ethiopia and Cote d’Ivoire have maintained their formal diplomatic relations since 1966.
