ICRC test-flight lands in Shire city to deliver humanitarian aid
Addis Ababa, November 16, 2022 (FBC) – The International Committee of the Red Cross Ethiopia Office (ICRC Ethiopia) announced on Wednesday that its test-flight landed in Shire city, Tigray region, to deliver humanitarian assistance.
The resuming of airlifts to Tigray will help carry urgent humanitarian aid to the region more quickly, ICRC Ethiopia said.
According to ICRC Ethiopia, the test-flight will also help to alleviate the needs of thousands immediate support.
It is to be recalled that ICRC’s convoys with medical supplies, emergency and first aid kits entered Mekele city on Tuesday 15, November, to support health facilities in Tigray region.
It also confirmed that more aid will be supplied to Tigray region in the coming days.
