Signed peace agreement can be solid foundation for nat’l stability, prosperity: Russia

Addis Ababa, November 3, 2022 (FBC) – Russia is chuffed by Ethiopia’s peace talks effective conclusion to end the conflict in the northern part of the country.

The Russian Embassy in Ethiopia released a statement, welcoming the signed peace agreement between the Ethiopian central government and TPLF.

“The Embassy welcomes the agreements reached by the Federal Government of Ethiopia and the TPLF on November 2, 2022, to cease hostilities in Northern Ethiopia”, the Embassy stated.

“We hope that the signed Peace Agreement will serve as a solid foundation for completing the process of national reconciliation, reconstruction of the affected regions and securing stability for the sake of prosperity of all Ethiopian people”, said the Russian Embassy.

Ethiopia and Russia have enjoyed a long-established, brotherly, and historic bilateral relation through people-to-people, economic, diplomatic, cultural, and other areas.
