INSA foils over 1,600 planned cyber-attacks in three months
Addis Ababa, October 18, 2022 (FBC) – Information Network Security Agency (INSA) announced that it has thwarted over 1,600 planned cyber-attacks in the last three months.
Head of the Cybersecurity Analysis Team at INSA, Abel Temesgen disclosed that the attempted cyber-attacks targeted educational and financial institutions in Ethiopia.
Saying that cyber-attacks are unpredictable, Abel called for enhanced security measures. Agency’s capacity to prevent potential cyber-attacks against the country is growing, he said.
The Agency is providing consultancy and technical assistance to public and private institutions to reduce risk of cyber-attacks, he added.
