AIU bans Kenyan athlete for 3 years for breaking anti-doping rules
Addis Ababa, October 13, 2022 (FBC) – The International Association of Athletics Federations’ Athletics Integrity Unit confirmed that Kenyan marathoner Mark Kangogo has been expelled from competition for three years for breaking anti-doping rules.
He was initially provisionally suspended for testing positive for two banned substances, Norandrosterone and Triamcinolone acetonide.
Kangogo becomes the second Kenyan athlete to be suspended in less than a week.
The other Kenyan athlete, Philemon Kacheran, received a three-year ban on Monday for testing positive for excess levels of testosterone, reports, reports CGTN Africa.
